Kolla in MapsOnPaper.com.
Feel free to comment in english. The text above is just a short description of MapsOnPaper in swedish.

Dvs inte bara ”my maps”...

does not woirk with the new urls :(

Thanks for the notice Hans, but it works for me. Can you email me the link you are trying to use? Are you using maps.google.com or a local site?
Martin
Ok, if anyone else has any problems with certain maps, please include the link or send it to me via e-mail so we can resolve the issue. Without the link there’s not much we can do.

Just brilliant! I’ve now printed myself a little map booklet with all my Amsterdam landmarks ready for our weekend trip. Not being able to print my carefully researched placemarks was a constant frustration, and this works amazingly well. The sequence of little maps is perfect to make sense of all 56 (and counting) of my placemarks. Thank you!
Martin
Glad you like it Sarah. I, myself, just printed a map for my upcoming Berlin trip tomorrow.

Wow, so nice. This really helped. And i like the clean interface. Two features that i would really like. Also an option to print the address like with the descriptions, as i often have those in my POIs. And second: I often use the google icons to mark a place as a restaurant, museum, shop, etc. Would love to see them in the legend together with the letter for the POI. Anyway, this is already perfect and really helped me. Thanks a lot. Mik

Thanks Mik. We appreciate the feedback.
Unfortunately it is not possible to have different markers using Google Static Maps API (what we use to render the printable maps), but it might be possible to include them in the description as you suggest. However I’m not sure how common it is for people to use them in the manner you describe. My fear is that it might clutter up the descriptions for those that don’t. We’ll take it under consideration though and we might add it in the future.
Regarding the addresses, can you give us a map link where we can have a look. I’m not sure if the address is included in the ”KML files” (that’s what we use to extract the data from maps) but I’d like to see a real case to make sure…

Hi Martin, i absolutely see the point with cluttering up the whole thing. Especially cause i’ve mentioned how much i like the cleanness of the interface, and that would just be one option button more, which would be one to much. :)
For the adresses. I normally google for a place, like e.g. http://maps.google.com/maps?ei=NtlySobRCMGg_ga5o4ToAQ&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=oktavilla%20design&resnum=0&sa=N&tab=wl&um=1, and than click ”Save to My Maps”. This results in a POI that is prefilled with a section that is called ”Place Details”, including address, url, phone, etc. but most times no description. So, i thought that would be nice, but i quickly solved it, by copying the addresses to the description, which is fine for me now. Thanks.
Martin
@Mik I’ve checked now and unfortunately neither the address nor the other meta data (reviews etc) are included when you do an import via KML. So sadly we won’t be able to include anything other than descriptions as long as Google don’t change things on their side. So keep copying and pasting for now. ;(
Thanks for your feedback and suggestions!

Your site is wonderful! Nice and simple for a 70 year old like me to use. Just used it with mymaps acrossthe hills. Small maps look fine. Is there a way to print my marked route also? Thanks for your help. MS
Martin
Hi Meredith,
thank you! Routes has not been supported by Google (when ”importing” maps like we do on mapsonpaper.com) until recently. We are looking into adding routes to mapsonpaper.com but can not give you a date yet. Thank you for your feedback!

Hello again! I am continuing to use your great converter service. Is there any way to control the assigned alphabetic sequence of identifying letters? For example my first point does not appear as ’A’. Thanks again for your service and any help.MS
Martin
Hi. The letters should correspond to the order of the points on Google Maps (in the left column). However, the first point (A) may not end up on the first map on mapsonpaper.com. This is related to how the points are sorted and clustered in order to optimize the number of individual maps.
Martin
Routes are now supported on Mapsonpaper.com. Enjoy :)

I’m not sure if you received my last post - but thank you for the site. However, I’m having trouble with this map (notice Map J). Thanks.
Martin
Hi Ken,
the problem with your map was that it simply had too many markers in a single map. Or at least more than we’d tested for. But it’s fixed now, go ahead and try it out!
